Memories from Paul Walkden

Paul Walkden recalls his memories of Sir Peter Scott:

Sir Peter ScottPeter Scott’s special appeal was that he treated everybody as an equal, I remember meetings with him in the studio, always keen to help he loaned me books and was always patient and willing to share ideas. He was also always enthusiastic about whatever he was working on and loved to discuss and show you his drawings, sketches, paintings or diaries. He also had a great desire to share moments, if birdwatching in the hides, he would make sure everyone had seen any special bird that might be there. Also he had an amazing eye, he would enter a hide, check the area and say have you seen this little stint, others birders who had been in the hide and not spotted the bird were amazed at his field observation skills.
