The London Wetland Centre offers schools unique out of classroom learning opportunities immersed in spectacular wetland habitats.
Spring is a great time to visit as the centre is quieter than during the summer, yet no less exciting in terms of the wildlife and learning sessions available.

What the centre has to offer
Open all year round, the London Wetland Centre offers pupils:
- hands-on learning experiences led by experienced Teacher Explainers
- mini-beast safaris and pond-dipping sessions
- a safe environment in which to explore the wealth of London's wildlife
Teachers can:
- book engaging learning sessions linked to the National Curriculum and other syllabuses
- plan more easily by receiving a pre-prepared Risk Assessment and come in for a free preliminary visit
- choose from an extensive learning programme or request tailor-made sessions
- make use of extensive downloadable learning resources
- hire binoculars for use during the visit
- pre-order souvenirs from the gift shop to avoid queues on the day (see form below)
- rely on excellent on-site facilities including bag storage, picnic tables and covered lunch areas
