Artist of the month - Sandra Taylor
Sandra has lived all her life in Washington, Tyne and Wear. She attended Cumbria College of Art and Design in Carlisle, studying graphic design, before working as a graphic designer in Jesmond.
After a career break to become a full time mum, she rediscovered her love of painting. Working mainly in watercolours and acrylics, among Sandra’s favourite subjects are flowers, the Northumbrian coastline and the lake district.
As well as her painting, Sandra has a busy schedule teaching watercolour, drawing and acrylic painting classes in the Sunderland area.
Through her teaching she has been inspired to experiment with pastels, and charcoal, the results of some of which are displayed in this mixed media exhibition.
