Ho-ho-ho Huskies!

Start the festive season with a visit to see Santa and the huggable huskies during Winter Wonderland Weekend, December 3-4 at WWT Arundel Wetland Centre.

Come and meet these friendly dogs of the north. These gorgeous sled dogs will give children the chance to experience the excitement of a husky sleigh ride (age eight and under, although some weight restrictions may apply). Have your photo taken with one of these cuddly dogs as a special seasonal souvenir. The huskies will be at Arundel Wetland Centre from 10am - 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The Christmas season isn’t complete without a visit to Santa. Bring the children to meet him in his grotto in a rustic, thatched roundhouse. He’s the real deal - a velvet suit with a tuggable beard. This magical experience includes a goody bag for each child. Santa will be at Arundel Wetland Centre throughout the weekend (11am - 4pm each day).  Create a Christmas card or write a letter to Santa to post in our special mail box that he’ll take back to the North Pole.

Families visiting Arundel Wetland Centre can hand feed wildfowl from around the world, stroll nature trails and relax amid the beautiful views of the frosted South Downs.  Take a trip through the reed beds on the free Wetlands Discovery Boat safari to glimpse vivid kingfishers and see peregrines soar above the Offham hangar. Children will love the Pond Skaters and the Tree Creepers outdoor play areas.  Enjoy a Christmas lunch in the Water’s Edge Café or relax over a hot drinks and mince pies and while watching the wildfowl on Swan Lake, through the large windows of the viewing gallery.

In the gift shop there's enough choice for you to fill everyone's Christmas stocking this year, with plenty of wildlife themed gifts. Gifts from Arundel Wetland Centre's shop won't just delight whoever is opening them on Christmas day: when you shop there you're also contributing towards vital conservation work in the UK and around the world.

During Winter Wonderland Weekend the crafts activities, play areas, boat rides and husky rides are free, with your regular paid admission. There is a £5.00 charge per child to visit Father Christmas which includes a goody bag. Santa and the huskies will be popular so you may have to queue.

There is no advance booking for tickets to see Santa but tickets with timings will be sold on the day at the admission desk at Arundel Wetland Centre.
