Brent continue to come onto the Peninsula saltmarsh with up to 15 (family groups) along with  8 ringed plover, 11 dunlin, 30 Oystercatchers, 55 black-tailed  godwit and a single curlew spotted on the 21st February.  On the 23rd February mixed flock of goldfinch, siskin, redpoll and a buzzard were spotted in the woodlands. On the 24thFebruary a Merlin was spotted swooping over the main lake. On the wader marsh there are currently large flocks of black-tailed godwit (15),  redshank (23) and greenshank, shelduck (19) numbers increasing everyday.

Refuge

On the 19th February Small groups of brent (80) could be seen on the estuary along with 400 golden plover heading towards the top of the estuary. One observation from the Limekiln Observatory included a large number of  bar-tailed Godwit (300).
