The pair of Redshank we had a week ago have returned and much more vocal this time! Will they stay and breed?

Surprise bird of the morning was a male Linnet feeding out from the Ramsar hide on the dry grassland.

There are still 6 pairs of Lapwing sitting on eggs with another two pairs looking to sit. One pair have even been displaying over the far island of Swan lake, something that would never had occurred if the tree work had not been carried out.

Ramsar/Sand martin hide: 2 Redshank, 7 Lapwing, 1 grey heron, 1 Linnet, 6 Tufted duck, 4 Gadwall, 1 Willow warbler

2 Greylag geese.

Lapwing hide:  8 Lapwing, 10 Teal, 2 Greylag geese

Scrape hide: 2 Gadwall, 3 Shelduck, 4 Tufted duck, 2 Teal

Reedbed hide:  1 Shelduck, 2 Teal, 1 Sedge warbler

Swan Lake: 45 Tufted duck, 2 Shelduck, 5 Pochard, 2 Gadwall, 2 Lapwing

Hangar: Peregrine, Red Kite and Buzzards

Car park:  Blackcap and Garden warbler singing
