Another osprey lands on the nest

Just after 1pm today an osprey landed on the nest. It had a ring on the left leg which could have either been faded yellow or white with black characters. Sadly even slowing the recording down frame by frame we were unable to read the ring. The bird was struggling to hang on to the nest in the chilly north-easerly gale blowing across the nest. The angle made it almost impossible to see the ring clearly and also see the front of the bird to try to work out if it was male or female as the females tend to have more brown speckling on the lower neck. What we can deduce is that this is not our female or her usual mate AW. Could this be the same intruder male bird that arrived early last spring and tried to take his place on the nest before AW returned and sent him packing?
