There was a really interesting meeting at Briars Hall yesterday about the grants that are available to improve sustainable transport in Sefton and West Lancs.  This is something we are really keen to get involved in based on one off events, promoting sustainable transport long term and ensuring that all the local businesses are working in partnership to promote walking between sites, cycling and hopefully one day have another bus service in operation.

We are going to look at having a weekend in September based around cycling and running workshops on caring for your bike, how to deal with punctures etc. as well as having a bike simulator to encourage people to get back on your bike.  Once I know more I will let you know the dates and the grnat project will soon have a website to show people how easy it is to travel around the area without a car so I will ensure I place the link on here as well.
