Middle Point/Severn Estuary

Dark-bellied Brent Goose, Egyptian Goose, 1 Avocet, 1 Raven, 1 Little Egret, a Peregrine was on the tidal driftwood, drake Shoveler, drake Gadwall, singing Sedge and Reed Warblers, singing Reed Bunting and a Long-tailed Tit in the reed bed. At least 40 Herring, 26 Lesser Black-backed, 3 Common and 46 Black-headed Gulls were on the main channel at low tide.

The second Bird song outdoor workshop of the weekend coincided with International Dawn Chorus Day. The following species were among those heard well.

Little Grebe, Cuckoo, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Cetti's Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Reed Bunting and Goldfinch.
