Hobby and other raptors

A showery day with all the potential excitement of some migrating waders dropping in, although if they have, they haven't been found/reported yet...

A quality raptor day with Hobby along the Reed Bed Walk mid afternoon, a young female Peregrine hunting just after midday around the Mere, juv Marsh Harrier, 3 Common Buzzard, 4 Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.

A juvenile Med Gull was on the Mere briefly with Black-headed Gulls. A possible eclipsed Garganey was seen briefly from the Harrier Hide.

It's worth noting that the Harrier Hide will be closing soon in order to improve the viewing from the hide windows and for general maintenance.
