Quite a few people out and about looking today despite the forecast which turned out to be calm and mostly dry until late afternoon.

Another good raptor day with 8+ Common Buzzard, 5 Kestrel, Peregrine, 2+ Marsh Harrier and 2 Sparrowhawk.

Wood Sandpiper still from the Ron Barker Hide. A flock of 7 Ringed Plover dropped in. Other waders included 10+ Common Snipe, 20+ Ruff inc 3 Juv, 300+ Lapwing and Green Sandpiper.

Double figure Swift moving south, Sand and House Martin feeding low over the reserve in the rain.

Kingfisher flew across the Mere this morning. At least 25 Tree Sparrow on the in focus shop feeder and a surprise juvenile Willow Warbler.
