Little Stint
The best sighting of the day was a Little Stint distantly from Ron Barker which later flew off high west with 2 Dunlin. Other waders included at least 20+ Ruff (15 juvs), juv Little ringed Plover, Green Sandpiper and 300+ Lapwing.
The kingfishers continue to show well from Ron Barker Hide, also still 3 Whooper Swans on view from here. Migrant Hawker Dragonfly around the Mere today.
Yesterday on the Mere was the first Pintail of the Autumn and a juvenile Mediterranean Gull, and at least 3 Marsh Harriers. Yellow Wagtails are still being seen occasionally from Ron Barker and at least 10+ Yellow Wagtail along Curlew Lane with a Wheatear yesterday.
