Thursday is Toddler Thursdays at WWT Martin Mere, and every week, toddlers will be able to take part in story time at 10.30am and 1.30pm, get a free bag of bird seed on arrival and get creative in toddler craft sessions after story time.

Centre Manager, Nick Brooks, said: “Toddler Thursdays have been so popular at Martin Mere and we wanted to offer something a little bit extra by making them feel a part of a group at the centre. They will be able to take part in a variety of activities and really enjoy exploring the centre”.

Parents and toddlers are also treated to a special Gosling Gang offer in the Mere Side Café: get a free children’s hot meal with every adult hot meal bought.

Toddler Thursday not only keeps the children entertained but is also a great opportunity for parents, child minders and carers to meet new friends and socialise whilst enjoying nature. Children under 4 can visit WWT Martin Mere for free and adults can become members for as little as £2.59 a month and visit all year.

WWT Martin Mere is open every day from 9.30am to 6pm and parking is free of charge. Situated off the A59, it is signposted from the M61, M58 and M6. The Centre is also accessible via the Southport to Manchester and the Liverpool to Preston line by train from Burscough Rail Stations. Visit the web site http://www.wwt.org.uk/martinmere/ to find out what’s on all year round at Martin Mere and the other eight centres.
