Latest Sightings
Another calm and warm day with six species of raptor to the fore with Hobby, 2 Peregrine, 2 Marsh Harrier, 6+ Common Buzzard, 4 Kestrel and 2 Sparrowhawk.
Similar waders to yesterday with Wood Sandpiper still on Woodend Marsh this morning, although no reports of the Curlew Sandpiper. Green Sandpiper from the Ron Barker Hide early on.
At least 2 Kingfisher showing well in front of the Ron Barker Hide throughout the day. Little Egret over.
Yellow Wagtail out on the farthest end of the Reedbed Walk. Also fair numbers of Chiffchaff along the hedgerows out there and a few Whitethroat and a single migrant(?) Sedge Warbler.
