Wakey wakey, and get set for half term hibernation fun at WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre.

From Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd February visitors to Castle Espie can take part in hibernation themed activities including den building, craft, art and a hibernating animal trail.

As winter turns into spring hibernating animals begin to stir from their slumber. Follow Hodge the hedgehog on a hibernation trail around the beautiful nature reserve to meet and learn about his hibernating friends from around the world.

In the centre take part in art and get crafty making hedgehogs. In the afternoons, venture into the woods and build a bear’s den.

All activities are free with admission, WWT members and under 4s go free. The hibernation trail runs daily between 10am and 4pm with art and craft activities available 11am – 4pm and den building is between 1pm and 4pm.
