Don't go buggy on the A27, travel by train to Insect Weekend with 2for1 admission

Instead take the train to visit Arundel Wetland Centre and get 2 for 1 admission! Arundel Wetland Centre is a gentle 15-minute walk from the Arundel Rail Station. This weekend your family can go pond dipping and bug hunting as part of the Incredible Insects weekend (June 27-28). Glide through the reeds to spot kingfishers, water voles and lots more on free boat safaris. Families can hand feed rare geese and ducks at the World Wetlands feedbay.

WWT Arundel Wetland Centre is fully accessible, has comfortable hides, buggy and wheelchair friendly pathways with disabled and parent & baby facilities. There is a fully stocked cafe and gift shop onsite. The centre is located at Mill Road, Arundel BN18 9PB and open from 9:30-5:30 seven days a week.

Saturday & Sunday

  • Crazy Caterpillars See the puss moth and emporer moth caterpillars at the admissions desk.
  • Story Time 1:45 pm: enjoy the tale of Bugs Galore! in the Meadow Maze.
  • Pond Dipping at the Pond Explorer Station: 11am-1pm with last admission at 12:45pm. Reopens at 2pm-4pm with last admission at 3:45pm
  • Creepin' & Crawlin' Crafts Decorate a sun catcher in the Kingfisher room in the visitors centre: 2-4pm each day, with last admission at 3:45pm
  • Wetlands Discovery Boat Safari: Look for dragonflies and damselflies while you glide through the wetlands! First boat at 11am, last boat at 4:30 pm.

Saturday June 27 only

Insect hunting with sweep nets in the Wildlife Garden, 1-3 pm.

Sunday June 28 only

Insect Walk with Warden Paul Stevens. Meet at the raised pond at 2:30 pm
