Autumnwatch On-site!

The set-up for Autumnwatch is in full swing today with cables being laid, trucks arriving, hay bales being moved about……..

The presenters have arrived and are out and about, watching the wildlife that is present on the reserve, including the thousands of barnacle geese, ducks and waders that have come in with the very high tide we have at the moment!

This afternoon there have been 5000 barnacle geese, 3000 pintail, 3000 shelduck, 200 common scoter, 4000 dunlin, 1000 knot, 1000 golden plover a hen harrier and a peregrine falcon seen from the Saltcot Observatory!
