A 3 Egret Day!

The clock hadn't even struck 8:30am and staff and volunteers had clocked up all three species of egret on site!  The 5 Cattle Egret from yesterday were found on South Lake first thing with a Little Egret, which left at 8:04am and flew towards the canal.  As the birds were searched for a Great White Egret was seen flying over the site towards Frampton just before 8:30am.

After the initial sighting of the egrets that lake and scrape have been quiet all morning with only a single Redshank, 43 Shoveler and 8 Gadwall of note.  Birds can move around the site a lot so its always worth checking what has dropped in later in the day.
