Latest Sightings - 25th February - Wet and wild

As forecast, it is a very wet and windy start to the day. Wellies are recommended for getting down the Avenues.

The Whooper Swans are battling the wind and waves on the Whooper Pond and the fields are becoming increasingly flooded.

Golden Plover are feeding away in the Lochar Field from the Avenue Tower, some of them beginning to show their black bellies!

We have a few new additions to the reserve, with gull/wader nesting rafts on the Teal Pond and Flood Ground!

The high tide could be interesting today, with the wind pushing the water up higher than normal.

Todays high tide is at 11:36, 8.9m
