Rushy

Just 65 Bewicks here this morning and another 25 on the Dumbles, so looking like we lost about 70 Swans last night. Still good numbers of Duck here with 120 Pintail and 170 Pochard keeping the pond looking busy. The Little Stint is still being seen in here regularly so check several times through the day.

Holden Tower and Tack Piece

All 160 Whitefronted Geese are still here and 25 Bewick`s were sleeping on the Dumbles. there were at least 9 Cranes scattered around and 400 Wigeon looked good mainly in the Tack Piece. Couldn't find the Water Rail at the willow hide this morning but keep looking.

South Lake

A high count of 228 Black Tailed Godwit were sheltering from the wind here along with 96 Dunlin with three  Knot among them and three Redshank. There were 16 sleeping Avocet and the two pairs of Oystercatcher. Cormorant (7) Great Crested Grebe (1) and Shovelor (36) were on the lake. Both the Little Stint and Spotted Redshank were seen here yesterday so keep your eyes open.

South Finger and Zeiss Hide

Another 150 Wigeon here but just a handful of Teal and a mobile flock of waders with 100 lapwing, 9 Golden Plover and 250 Dunlin. Generally quiet, the singing Robin in the hide might have been the biggest hit for many visitors.
