Sightings

Highhlight of the day was the pair of Garganey that were found on Sunley's Marsh from Ron Barker Hide mid morning. At least 2-3 Mediterranean Gull were seen including a pair on the Mere with a Green Darvic ring, probably from France or Belgium.

At least 200 Black-tailed Godwit out on Woodend Marsh, also 60+ Avocet, 2 Dunlin, a few Ruff, 4+ Redshank and Oystercatcher.

Buzzard were very obvious with a group of 8 circling probably indicating spring movement.

A male Bullfinch seen at the beginning of the reedbed walk.

A report of a Short-eared Owl from Ron Barker hide in the afternoon.

A few Butterflies were out today including Brimstone and Small Tortoiseshell
