South Lake

Lots of action here today, regular flypasts of Kingfisher with birds perching in the willows at the N end of the deep lake to fish. Often passing a few feet in front of the hide, also seen at Hogarth Hide. The pair of Garganey showed occasionally, 20 Teal, 40 Shoveler, 43 Avocet including some nest building pairs, 15 Ruff, 2 Snipe, 115 Black-tailed Godwit, 6 Lapwing, 6 Oystercatcher and 200 Black-headed Gulls in the colony.

Kingfisher Hide

A male and two females visiting the nest hole today. 19 Lapwing in the Bottom New Piece.

Zeiss Hide

9 Lapwing, 64 Wigeon and 15 Teal.

Holden Tower

Two Little-ringed Plover on the scrape, an adult Dark-bellied Brent Goose and Peregrine on the Dumbles, a party of 5 Knot and 4 Dunlin at high tide this morning with single Golden Plover and 15 Lapwing.

Tack Piece

9 Cranes, 2 E. White-fronted Geese, 2 Egyptian Geese, 30 Wigeon and small numbers of Teal, Shelduck and Shoveler.
