Spring migrants - wheatear

Wheatear by Bob Ellis

A #Spring Special at WWT Welney, the wheatear; freshly arrived after spending their winter in Africa. These beautiful birds are often seen on the ground looking for insects to feed on, keep you eyes peeled for them when you visit us next.  The males have a striking eye mask and all wheatears have a white rump which can be seen when they are in flight.
