Crane chick lost

We have some sad news- the Crane chick belonging to Bart and Ruby has not been seen since 25 July, a thorough search over the weekend revealed that Bart and Ruby were roaming the reserve and even displaying to each other, they wouldn't leave their chick unattended if all was well so we feel it is safe to assume that it has perished. Not the outcome we had hoped for.
