A brief update.
Yesterday a Bittern was seen in flight from the outer Reed Bed Walk.
Wood Sandpiper being occasionally seen on the Mere. Three Green Sandpiper today, 36 Ruff, Greenshank, 70+ Snipe, 600+ Lapwing.
First Stonechat of the autumn seen to the right of Sunley's Marsh from the Ron Barker Hide.
Reed Warbler (2) in hedgerow near the Sewage Works, classic migration behaviour. Meadow Pipits and a few wagtail on the move (pied/white and grey).
Marsh Harrier 1+, Peregrine, 4 Buzzard, 2 Kestrel and Sparrowhawk.
