Curlew Sandpiper and today's Sightings

Weather still and cloudy with an intermittent northerly breeze. Less small passerines about today than there has been for the past couple of weeks, but the water bird numbers are steadily growing as the weather becomes more autumnal.

The Holden Tower Walkway Hides

4 Buzzards and 50 Barnacle Geese from the Holden Tower.

South Lake

Was the busiest with birds this morning, the highlight being a Curlew Sandpiper flying between the Scrape and the Duck Marsh, visible from the Discovery hide and Hogarth Hide.
