Common Sandpiper
A murky start to the day with the odd light shower offering hope that some new birds could drop it. Common Sandpiper was certainly one of those. We will see more waders as post breeding birds begin to move around.
Other waders present include 25+ Black-tailed Godwit, Green Sandpiper, 2 Ruff, Ringed Plover, 100+ Lapwing, 10+ Avocet, 6+ Redshank, Ringed Plover and yesterday 4 Little Ringed Plover (2ad+2juv).
Cuckoo calling inside the collection area and it or another seen near the Ron Barker Hide.
Little Gull still present, 4 Common Tern and adult Med Gull yesterday.
Eight Grey Heron as birds and young disperse from local breeding sites.
