A team of highly skilled and experienced WWT staff members are travelling to Madagascar to save the world’s rarest duck.
The members of the team are:

Nige and Sparky have been in Madagascar since early October, and Martin and Owen travelled out about 3 weeks after them. The team will, at times, be split between the lake, the hotel or travelling – so communication with can be a little tricky (when at the lake, they have to walk to the top of the nearest hill a mile away just to send a text). Meanwhile, Peter is helping to co-ordinate things from the UK. We’ll keep you up to date with progress and significant events as soon as we receive it …
Durrell and the Peregrine Fund also have staff on the ground in Madagascar and Durrell have a blog you can follow: http://blog.durrell.org
