Owen: “We’ve become full-time construction workers for the time-being. We’re expecting delivery of the second and third outdoor tanks from Tana shortly. They will weigh several tonnes when filled with water, so the foundations have to be fairly sturdy. It’s hot work when the temperature is 50 degrees in the sun.
“The second brood had their first proper swim today. They look fit and healthy, and seem set to follow their cousins as active, lively birds.”
