Endangered Madagascar pochard ducklingsWe rely on donations to fund our vital work for conservation and we are grateful for any amount you can give us.

Our focus for 2011 includes a range of projects at WWT Centres, including restoration of the main lake at Arundel and the continuation of a major redevelopment of the Slimbridge grounds.

Meanwhile, our conservationists will continue working on a wide range of projects in the UK and overseas.

We will continue breeding Eurasian cranes for release onto the Somerset Levels as part of the Great Crane Project, begin a new research programme into the rare tadpole shrimp and its habitats, and work globally on projects to save critically endangered species such as the Madagascar pochard.

Another high priority for 2011 is a major new initiative to save one of the rarest birds in the world from extinction, the spoon-billed sandpiper.

With your help, many of the world's most endangered wetlands and the wildlife they support can be protected.
