Volunteer

Why do we need your help?

We rely on our dedicated teams of volunteers at all nine WWT centres across the UK.  We need your help now more than ever – to look after our reserves, the wildlife living there and the hundreds of thousands of visitors who enjoy our centres every year.

What’s in it for you?

There are many reasons to volunteer and no shortage of places needing your support.  However, volunteering with WWT not only gives you the chance to make new, like-minded friends and gain new skills, it also offers the chance for you to do something really worthwhile and rewarding.  This is your chance to be part of an internationally recognised environmental charity working with wetlands, wildlife and people.

Who can volunteer?

If you are over 16 years of age and able to commit time to helping out at a WWT centre, then we would love to hear from you.  No special qualifications or experience are necessary and all training and tools are provided.  All you need is to be keen, willing and available.

What can you do?

Volunteer roles vary from centre to centre and can be indoors or outdoors, working with visitors, on the reserve or behind the scenes.

To find out more, including how you can take part in group volunteering or as part of team activity days via our Corporate Volunteering scheme, choose a WWT centre and look at their volunteering page for more information.
