Volunteering

As a charity, the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust relies on the generous support of volunteers to help with conservation work and other daily tasks.

At Castle Espie Wetland Centre seventy volunteers help out with a wide variety of activities ranging from caring for the ducks, geese and swans to cooking in the coffee shop. Volunteers from all backgrounds, of all ages and abilities, are an invaluable asset and, in turn, can gain useful experience, pursue an interest and make new friends in the Castle Espie team. If you can give a regular commitment we can give you training and WWT clothing as well as discounted rates in our shop and coffee shop.
