The London Wetland Centre is 43 hectares of beautiful lakes, pools and lagoons bringing wildlife to the heart of our capital city.
To find such an amazing habitat so close to central London is unique and this combination of beautiful surroundings and central location (Zone 2) makes it the ideal venue for private functions and corporate events.
The centre has a number of unique rooms and facilities available for hire:
Water's Edge room
The Water's Edge room is a light and spacious room, ideal for wedding receptions, anniversaries, conferences and meetings.
It offers beautiful views across the lakes and pools of the London Wetland Centre and the room opens out onto a wooden decked balcony providing an additional area for your guests to relax.
There is seating capacity for up to 150 delegates theatre style and 110 guests for a dinner and reception.

Meeting room
A light and quiet room suitable for workshops, presentations and meetings, with a large boardroom table able to seat 22 people.
TV and video facilities, overhead projectors and flip charts are all included in the cost of hiring this room.

Observatory
This beautiful split level, heated observatory is perfect for drinks receptions. The large 20m x 8m viewing window allows panoramic views across the reserve, where guests can watch a host of wildlife dropping in to rest and feed, while enjoying a drink themselves.
The observatory is also a wonderful location to refresh your mind during a lunch break.

Tower
An intimate, informal room, ideal for up to 25 people. The room features a beautiful wildlife mural depicting birds that can be seen on the reserve, from the Tower's high vantage point.
This room also benefits from natural daylight (although it does not have black-out blinds for presentations).

Theatre
A state of the art theatre with seating for 80 people. Three large cinema screens are ideal for PowerPoint presentations, corporate videos or films, while a central podium with microphone, live Web access and advanced video equipment offers finger-tip control for the speaker.

Gallery
The Gallery is a light, open room which can comfortably accommodate up to 60 people standing for an exhibition or drinks reception.The dividing walls are mobile and can be moved to suit your needs. Situated close to the Meeting room, the Gallery is an ideal break-out space for short brainstorming sessions.

Bird hides
Where else in London can you have a breakfast meeting surrounded by beautiful wetlands and birds from around the world? Our bird hides offer just that. Situated in the wild reserve overlooking the lakes and pools, you can enjoy breakfast whilst catching up on a spot of bird watching.
We can also arrange for one of our knowledgeable wardens to be on hand to help point out the rarer species.

Morning meeting with afternoon activities
Get out of the office, onto your feet and exhale...come and explore our beautiful wetlands. From guided tours and working parties to treasure hunts, this is as inspiring as it gets!
Dawn walks
Where else in London can you enjoy an early morning walk watching and listening to rare birds, followed by a hearty breakfast, all before 9 am? As the sun rises you set out on your dawn walk around the reserve in an exclusive tour for you and your party.
Sense & Sustainability
We have teamed up with bespoke events company Events Matter to offer a unique team building event "Sense and Sustainability" that addresses global warming and encourages businesses and staff to think about how they can contribute to mitigating the problem.
Parties
Company Day out with activities and BBQ - one of summer's delights
For groups of 300 or more wanting outdoor space and activities we can offer different stations around the grounds, themed to a particular activity. You could have a station for each department - including climbing wall, competitions, cheese tasting and even face paintings. The AV Theatre can feature films or presentations while the beautiful Observatory offers space for yoga classes with a difference. All you need is a little imagination and we'll supply the rest.
Christmas Parties
Enjoy a delicious three course Christmas dinner cooked by our very own chefs and then dance the night away. From Vegas gambling nights to a Winter Wonderland theme we can personalise your party for an additional cost.
Children's Birthday Parties
The WWT London Wetland Centre is an ideal venue for children's birthday parties. Children can enjoy a unique party full of fun and fascination in the great outdoors. We provide an hour and a half of entertainment with a professional children's explainer.
The party price includes entry fees, party invite, the entertainment, a goody bag and our special party invitations. Wedding receptions
The London Wetland Centre is the ideal venue for your wedding reception. Our beautiful grounds create the perfect background for photo opportunities while your guests enjoy drinks & canapés in the Observatory and watch the sun set over the wetlands. Wander over to the Water's Edge room for formal dining, or a more relaxed buffet style dinner, followed by live music and dancing to celebrate this special occasion.
Wedding anniversary - a reason to celebrate
Enjoy our excellent service and catering while celebrating with family and friends to mark this special occasion. Afterwards enjoy a guided tour around the centre or stroll at your leisure exploring our wonderful wetlands and exhibits.
Summer bbqs & winter carveries
After a busy day come and unwind and relax, listening to live music while enjoying a feast of wonderful bbq food. Our special summer bbqs are every Thursday evening from June to September.
Enjoy a special carvery lunch every Sunday during the winter months of October to March - enough to brighten up even the coldest, wettest winter's day (advance booking essential as space is limited).

The highly acclaimed catering is organised in-house for your convenience with a selection of highly appetizing menus. From formal dinner gatherings to 'working lunches' the London Wetland Centre can offer a quality and style to suit every occasion.
