Experience a Sense of Summer

Experience the very best of British wildlife and indulge all your senses this summer on a wetland walk, talk or safari at WWT wetland centres.

sense of summerWetlands are a haven for wildlife so look out for water voles, bats, dragonflies and an array of rare flowers and plants.  Some centres now have boat safaris where you can weave around the wetlands to discover wildlife amongst the reedbeds.

Each centre has something different – search for wild bats on a big batty walk in London, pick up a paddle at the new canoe safari at Slimbridge (Gloucestershire), or hop on a bike to discover the beautiful welsh wetlands at Llanelli (National Wetland Centre, Wales).

There’s something to fascinate everyone whatever your age.  Experience stunning scenery, breathtaking views and face to face encounters with the world’s most dramatic and rare birds.

The centres have excellent restaurants and gift shops and all have family friendly and disabled facilities including buggy access.
