2012 admission prices

Prices are shown inclusive of Gift Aid and without. The Gift Aid admission price includes a voluntary donation, which enables us to claim the tax back as part of the Government's Gift Aid scheme. You can find out more about Gift Aid here on the HM Revenue & Customs website.

Group rate admissions

If you are coming to WWT Caerlaverock as a group consisting of 12 or move individuals you can ring through in advance as recieve a Group Rate Admission upon arrival.

How to find us

If you arrive at the centre by public transport or bicycle you get into the centre at the current Group rate.

By bus
There is a limited bus service to the centre. Nearest bus station Dumfries. Stagecoach service D6A.

By rail
Nearest railway station is Dumfries.

By bike
Follow this link to the Sustran's National Cycle Network website for a location map and details of local cycle routes.

By car
The centre lies 9 miles south east of Dumfries.

Follow tourist signs from A75 west of Annan or St.Michael's church in Dumfries.

Opening times

Open 7 days a week every day of the year, except 25 December.

10am to 5.00pm

Occasional early and late opening for special wild events (please check details with centre).

Terms of entry

Visitors are asked to respect the habitats and wildlife by not causing undue noise. It is especially important to remain quiet in the bird viewing hides.

Photography is permitted on site providing it is for personal use only. All commercial/stock library photography must be agreed in advance with the centre and is subject to a fee.

No dogs are permitted on site, other than trained assistance dogs.

We have an on-site Coffee Shop stocking a good selection of specialty coffees and teas, delicious homemade cakes, soup of the day, sandwiches/toasties and Panini, as well as a variety of snacks. Please click here for the latest menu

Shopping

Why not browse through our extensive selection of books on natural history and sustainable living or you can try out all of the latest binoculars and telescopes. There is also a wide range of children's gifts and a variety of bird feeders and bird food. You can also buy paintings and ceramics when we have exhibitions on in our conference theatre.
