WhimbrelThe award winning National Wetland Centre Wales is situated on the north shore of the Bury Inlet with stunning views over the estuary and Gower. The centre is the perfect destination for all sorts of groups, from keen birders and wildlife enthusiasts through to those simply seeking a relaxing day out. This is the place to come for peace and tranquillity all year round, whatever the weather.

The landscaped grounds with acres of ponds, lakes, streams and reed beds provide a picturesque home for hundreds of the world’s most spectacular ducks, geese, swans and flamingos, many so tame they feed from your hand.

Feast your eyes on our spectacular flock of flamingos, hop aboard one of our fleet of bicycles or explore our watery world in a three person canoe. Our Bike Hire is open between Easter and the end of October, weekends, bank holidays and daily throughout all local school holidays. Our Canoe Safari is open daily, seven days a week, during the main summer holiday period of July and August. Opening hours for both activities is 12.00pm - 4.00pm. Both activities are included in your standard admission charge.

There is an excellent purpose built visitor centre which includes a gift shop, discovery centre and licensed café. Enjoy quality, freshly prepared meals, snacks and home made cakes or simply enjoy a coffee whilst relaxing on comfortable leather sofas and enjoying the panoramic views.
