A very unexpected record of Waxwing today briefly near the Kingfisher Hide. With so few records of this winter visiting species in the UK this winter one observer was very luck. So far we have recorded 86 species of bird on the reserve in 2010.
Green-Winged Teal again from the Hale Hide. Four Barnacle Geese in among 4000+ Pink-footed Geese.
Raptors included Peregrine, 4+ Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.
Interesting that a few Goldcrest were seen feeding near the Kingfisher Hide.
