Phoebe's winter diary

Phoebe Young is the duckery Warden at WWT Slimbridge. Follow her blog throughout the winter in order to discover the highs and lows of working as an Aviculture Warden at WWT Slimbridge.

The Slimbridge duckery is a renowned site for wildfowl breeding, and produces up to 500 birds every year. The techniques used today have been handed down through over 60 years of conservation species protection, started by Sir Peter Scott in 1946. Due to the size and diversity of its facilities, Slimbridge acts as the hub of WWT's species breeding. Phoebe spends her time tending to the health and welfare of some amazing species, working within the WWT team to highlight the importance of conservation.

Follow Phoebe's diary below to keep up to date with all the feathery goings-on at WWT Slimbridge this winter.
