The Welney Wetland Centre, with panoramic views of the Fenland countryside and immediate access to the one thousand acres of impressive wetland, is the perfect place to host a corporate event.
The unique, award winning visitor centre offers packages to cater for small business meetings to exhibitions and more. The Welney Wetland Centre is a flagship in sustainable living, with environmentally friendly features including the underground heat source, reedbed filtration system, rain water harvester and solar powered energy sources. The centre provides your business with the opportunity to hold your event in a unique setting, where you can enjoy the tranquillity, wildlife and beauty of the fenland landscape, while being environmentally friendly.
Rooms
There are two room options for hire in the visitor centre, The Pond Room and the Goodwin Room. All rooms and areas of the centre can be easily accessed by wheelchair users.
The Pond Room
This incredible room provides a unique place to hold a meeting, seminar, exhibition or talk. With dramatic views of the Fenland fields, this larger than life pond world is ideal for making an impression. It seats 60 theatre-style and 25 boardroom-style.
The Goodwin Room
Overlooking the Fenland fields and landscaped grounds, the Goodwin Room is ideal for meetings and seminars, seating 25 people theatre-style or 12 boardroom-style. This room is also fitted with an induction loop system.
Both rooms can be hired for full or half days/ evenings (subject to availabilty) and can be booked via the Corporate Booking Form. Access to the reserve is not included in the cost of room hire, but is available at a small additional cost per head of £1.50, which helps us work towards our conservation aims.

If you would like to request hire of other areas of the centre, such as the Wigeon Café and Observatory, please call 01353 860711 and discuss your requirements with the Centre Manager, Julie Ward. We will always endeavour to fulfil your needs, however, these areas will be subject to availability inline with visitor opening hours, WWT events, etc.
Included with the hire of a room is the use of Flip Chart, White Board, Pens, Digital Projector, OHP and Screen along with the freedom to explore the Fenland Worlds discovery area, Gift shop and Café. Upon arrival at the centre your group will be greeted by a member of WWT Welney staff, and guided to your room. This member of staff will be your point of contact for the day, and if you need any assistance they will be available to help you.
Catering
Refreshments will be available at times specified by you, at £2 per 
head, and includes Tea, Coffee, Juice, Water and a selection of homemade biscuits.
Seasonal Light Lunches are available between 12 noon and 2.30pm and can be pre-booked using the Corporate Booking Form. Tables will be reserved for your party in the licensed Wigeon café and your meals served to reserved tables. Please note, any party with 10 people or more will be required to pre-book their lunch option.
Corporate groups also have the opportunity to book a buffet for their group, which will be served in their room. Buffets are priced from £6.50 per head and will be served at your requested time. Please refer to the Corporate Information Sheet for further details and to book this option. If you would like alternative catering arrangements, please contact the centre with your requirements and if possible we will be pleased to accommodate your request.
Optional Extras
Access to the reserve is available for an additional cost of £1.50 per head.
If your team is looking for a challenge, Team-building volunteering sessions on the reserve are available at the discretion of the Reserve manager. The sessions can be planned as Morning, Afternoon or Full day events, and can range from path clearing, willow cutting and burning to screen building.
