Second osprey egg laid on Sat 21st April

The female osprey laid a second egg on Saturday the 21st of April. Our new male osprey, yellow 08 is doing a grand job bringing in fish for his mate and taking a turn in incubating the eggs. Hopefully we will see a third egg maybe today or tomorrow. The big branch of Scots pine at the front of the nest making it hard to see  what was going on yesterday has now been moved so hopefully we will see the nest cup when she stands up this morning.

Congratulations! But I hope she doesn’t object to losing her privacy by having the pine branch removed – also hope that the improved view does not make the nest more vulnerable.
Best of luck for future chicks!
