Children's birthday parties at Castle Espie

WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre is an ideal venue for children's birthday parties. Everyone can enjoy a unique party full of fun and fascination in the great outdoors!

We have three dedicated party options to choose from:

Duckling Hunt party (4-6yrs)

Everyone can get up close to nature, playing our build a nest and duckling hunt games.

Mallard duckings

What's included?

  • 1 hour guided. ½ hour build a bird’s nest and ½ hour duckling hunt game.
  • Room hire included for two hours.
  • Healthy food lunch boxes.
  • Max number of 25 children and minimum of 10.
  • All day access to WWT Castle Espie.
  • £12 per child and accompanying adults get in free.

Wildlife Detectives party (6-11yrs)

Discover the world of wildlife around you as you go mini-beast hunting and pond dipping.

What's included?

  • 1 hour guided. ½ hour pond dipping and ½ hour mini-beast hunting.
  • Room hire included for two hours.
  • Healthy food lunch boxes.
  • Max number of 15 children and minimum of 10.
  • All day access to WWT Castle Espie.
  • £14 per child and accompanying adults get in free.

Wild in the Woods (7-11yrs+)

Build your own den and enjoy lunch around the campfire in our new and exclusive woodland habitat.

What's included?

  • 2 hour guided. ½ hr build a den, ½ hr woodland badge, ½ hr light a fire, ½ hr supervised food/time around fire.
  • Room hire not included.
  • Healthy food lunch boxes.
  • Max number of 12 children and minimum of 10.
  • All day access to WWT Castle Espie.
  • £14.95 per child and accompanying adults get in free.
