Bug month

Whether it's bees, butterflies or beetles, there's something for everyone this June as we look at the fascinating world of bugs...

  • Pick up a spotter sheet on arrival throughout June and set off in search of an array of colourful insects found around our site. Our wetland bug hunt guide is the perfect way to identify exactly what you're looking at and ideal for learning a bit of extra information while you're at it.
  • Pond dipping sessions - join our education team and explore beneath the surface of our dipping ponds to see what creepy crawlies you can find. Free drop in sessions between 10.30-11.30am on Saturday 3, Sunday 4, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June.
  • Moth mornings - join our moth expert Andrew as he opens his moth trap to see what wonders lie within. Don't worry... they're not as scary as you may think and throughout the day they tend not to fly as much so it's a great way to get close and learn about these wonderful creatures! Meet at the barn area on Saturday 17 and Saturday 24 June at 10.30am.
