Mon 26 December - Sun 12 March
As the cold weather continues join us for additional swan feeds in the middle of the day for an extra chance to see our swans and ducks being fed.
The excitment builds as the birds get ready to be fed, swans and ducks line-up waiting for the guide to appear. The live commentary begins and as the guide makes their way out to feed the birds, watch a serene lagoon turn into a feeding frenzy! Enjoy close-up views of whooper and mute swans, the guide will point out any family groups or ringed individuals.
The pochard are busy diving beneath the surface of the water for the grain and the mallard say 'bottom's up' as they get in on the action. Look out for other ducks joining the feed in the coldest months of winter - Brrr!
The guide returns to the hide after the feed, where there is time to ask any questions.
Cost: Included in normal admission and free to members, no need to book.
Groups of 12 or more people, who book to visit a swan fee can get a reduced admission fee.
Time: 12pm onwards
