Wetland images for World Wetlands Day Festival

Hello!

My name is Erin Lloyd, I'm coordinating the 2010 Wetlands Festival for Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre, on the Ramsar listed shores of Moreton Bay in Australia. We would like to invite wetland centres around the world to be part of our upcoming World Wetlands Day celebrations.

As part of our 2010 Wetlands Festival, it is our intention to use a wide variety of images to showcase the diversity and beauty of wetlands around the world. In recognition of the 2010 WWD theme 'Wetlands, Biodiversity and Climate Change' we would like to invite wetland centres around the world to join us by sending up to five (5) high-resolution photographs of the plants, animals and people of your wetlands. These images will become part of our featured journey of music and multimedia at our upcoming wetlands festival, with an expected audience of 2500-3000 people.

Please include details of the image (eg. species, location) and name of the photographer where possible for artistic credit. We would like to receive all images by Thursday 7th January 2010. Forward your photos to 2010WetlandsFestival@brisbane.qld.gov.au .

Our festival also celebrates the journey of 40,000 migratory shorebirds that visit Moreton Bay from September to March. These birds travel along the East-Asian Australasian Flyway and through many countries, relying on the preservation of international wetlands chains for their survival.
