No sign yet of yesterdays Glossy Ibis. 10.30

Rushy

Cranes Monty and Sedge still incubating one egg on small island close to hide.
Avocet at least 22 and 6 nests so far.
Mediteranean Gull. Lots of activity yesterday with 2 pairs nest building, just 2 2nd Summer birds flying around so far this morning.

Tack Piece

Lapwing  pair with 2 young.
Black Tailed Godwit (7) and Avocet (6) feeding here.

Holden Tower

Peregrine 1 on the estuary.
Mandarin pair and Great Crested Grebes nesting on the long Ground pool to the south of the Holden, Good views can be had from the Canoe Trail.

South Lake

Black Tailed Godwit 46
Avocet 6
Mediterranean Gull 2 1st summers.
Little Gull 1 ad and 1 1st summer.

Zeiss Hide

Black Tailed Godwit 94
Avocet 6 including 2 incubating birds (distant)
Redshank 2
Common Sandpiper 1
Snipe 1
Lapwing 16
GBB Gull pair incubating on one of the islands a first breeding attempt for this species.

Kingfisher Hide

Only occasional sightings yesterday unclear if they are incubating or not. Please report any information to the wardens.

Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Cettis, Reed and Sedge Warblers all singing along approach.
