Membership and admission updates for 2023

Prices for WWT membership and admission are increasing from 1 April 2023. This was a difficult decision, but like many organisations, WWT’s costs have risen substantially over the past year. Wetlands and their wildlife face ever increasing challenges both in the UK and around the world. As a charity we simply can’t do the work we do, without your support.

Despite wetlands covering less than 1% of the world’s surface, a whopping 40% of all species rely on freshwater wetlands to survive. Over the last decade wetlands have declined at an alarming rate. As the threats to wetlands and their wildlife continue to increase we need to be doing more to combat these threats and the climate crisis.

We believe membership and admission still offer excellent value for money. Wetlands are fascinating places teeming with life that can do incredible things, like preventing flooding and storing carbon. Through visiting a WWT site you can enjoy exploring these amazing places and get to know the animals that call them home while being part of a movement that is protecting them for generations to come.

From 1 April 2023, we are also introducing some exciting changes to our membership and admission categories. This means there may be a different category of membership or admission that is more suitable to you and at a lower price. This includes a new Young Adult membership which is available to new and existing members aged 18 to 24 years. And we have extended our Junior membership and admission category from 16 to 17 years.
