Dame Judi Dench and Sir David Attenborough are among the stars supporting WWT’s 2016 expedition to break records and help declining Bewick’s swans. And you can show your support too, it’s quick, easy and free.

The expedition is called Flight of the Swans. WWT’s Sacha Dench will fly solo for 7,000km from Siberia to Slimbridge, dangling from nothing more than a sheet of fabric with a propeller strapped to her back to push her along. She’ll face the same dangers the swans do including extreme cold, high winds and avoiding power lines in low visibility.

All you need to do is sign up your support for the international Action Plan to save our Bewick’s swans. The combination of thousands of signatures, along with the celebrities’ support and Sacha dropping in on countries all along the migration route, will really help to encourage governments, businesses and landowners to work with us to save our shared swans.
