Celebrate World Wetlands Day with WWT Arundel

Arundel Wetland Centre invites visitors to explore their local wetland habitat on February 2, World Wetlands Day through walks and talks with WWT experts. This day marks the date of the adoption of the Convention on Wetlands on 2 February 1971, in the Iranian city of Ramsar on the shores of the Caspian Sea.

Arundel Wetland Centre is hosting a program, of special activities including a Ramsar Water ride: a boat trip with a guide who talks about the Ramsar convention, and how wetlands help us cope with climate change.

Families will enjoy a Beginners Binoculars sessions and children’s craft time. Our WWT wardens will give guided walks about the Wintering Wildfowl onsite and some special species housed at Arundel Wetland Centre.

All World Wetlands Day activities are included in your regular admission price to Arundel Wetland Centre. WWT members are admitted free.
WWT Arundel Wetland Centre cares for over 40 species of rare wildfowl from around the world in their Living Collection. The centre also has eight wildlife hides to watch British wildlife from and a boardwalk through a SSSI reedbed, is one of the largest in Sussex. Arundel Wetland Centre is fully accessible with buggy and wheelchair friendly pathways, comfortable hides and disabled and parent & baby facilities. The centre is open from 9.30 am-5.30 pm seven days a week.
