Photographer David Phillips features in the gallery this May & June

Throughout May and June the gallery is alive with colourful photographs taken by David Phillips.

David Phillips lives locally in the City of Ely.

I went to school in Ely because my father, a radiologist, was stationed at the then Royal Air Force Hospital in Ely. When I left school I followed my father into the Royal Air Force to see the world, and I served for 27 years. I was very fortunate because quite apart from having travelling jobs wherever I was based, I was lucky to have some wonderful overseas postings - in the Middle East, the Far East and in North America.

My service with the Royal Air Force took me to more than 80 different countries. I have always had a great interest in wildlife and I have been a keen photographer since my early years, and even though I am now retired I do still enjoy my travelling to far flung parts of the world with my cameras whenever the opportunity arises.

This is David's first exhibition, so please do come down to the visitor centre you look at his photos.
