Why Wetlands Competition

A summer competition inspired by your visit to Washington Wetland Centre!

**CALLING ALL CREATIVES**

We’re gutted we can’t do the normal fun summer events and activities with you all during the holidays this year. BUT we don’t want to miss seeing the love and enthusiasm you all have for nature and your vibrant creativity and so we’re holding an ‘all things creative’ competition.

The theme is Why Wetlands… we’d love you to take inspiration from your visit to us here at Washington Wetland Centre and draw, paint, sew, photograph, write or sculpt your way to winning a £100 gift voucher to spend in our shop.

Tell us what you love about our wetland centre and why through any creative medium you prefer. Here’s some ideas to get the creative juices flowing…

  • Why are wetlands important to wildlife?
  • Why are wetlands important to people?
  • Why I visited Washington Wetland Centre…
  • Why other people visit Washington Wetland Centre…
  • Visiting Washington Wetland Centre makes me feel…

There’s so many ideas and lots of inspiration to be had from our fantastic array of outdoor woodlands, lakes, ponds and meadows. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

To enter, share a photo of your creation, whether that be a painting, sculpture or even a poem, along with your name and age to our Facebook page @WWTWashington, using the hashtag #WhyWetlandsWA on Twitter or emailing info.washington@wwt.org.uk.

Entries close on Wednesday 30 September.

GOOD LUCK!
